| Wicks Custom Woods began as an idea to
use an existing collection of talent and materials. As a
division of the Wicks Organ Company, Wicks Custom Woods was a natural
spin-off for the existing family of craftsmen and woodworking
equipment. Four years later, the division has completed over 100
projects including home office furniture, home theatre cabinets, wine
cellars, freestanding armoires, built-in bookshelves and cabinets,
fireplace surrounds, writing desks and more. Every piece is hand-made in our shop by experienced craftsmen, hand
stained, finished, delivered and installed by Wicks. Minimum
residential project size is $3,500, and commercial $4,500. In
order to keep overhead down, we do request a nominal design fee to
cover our design services. The design fee can be applied to your
purchase (Commercial design work done on an hourly basis).
Wicks custom woodworking sets itself apart by utilizing original, yet timeless designs, grade A, all natural lumber and professional hardware and durable finishes. Every piece is designed and built to last through several generations. By the fact that everything is custom made, pieces can be designed to fit unusual or awkward spaces. Designs can be scaled up or down in size to fit a very large or very small area. Haberer Our work is interesting because no two pieces are exactly alike. Each one is designed to fit a customer's tastes and lifestyle as well as the existing architecture of the home or business. We try to stay away from anything that looks too ordinary or mass-produced by paying attention to scale and design details that make the difference. As a project goes through the Wicks shop, it's not uncommon for the builder to make voluntary upgrades that were not foreseen but would add to the value of the finished piece.
